This
journey takes us to Tibet's
northern and eastern frontier -
Amdo. Starting from the far north
in Qinghai province and heading
south across the Changtang Plateau
- Ancestral home of Amdo Nomads
and the birth place of 14th Dalai
Lama. Our journey takes us to the
great Yellow Hat monasteries of
Labrang and Kumbu. We will trek
for 7 days around the sacred
mountain, Amnye Machen the
important pilgrimage mountain of
Amdo, we drive into the vast high
grassland of Amdo in Gansu
province where we visit the
Tibetan Buddhism School, Labrang
Monastery. Before heading north
back to Lanzhou, the capital city
of Gansu, we will spend 2 days
explore this grand Monastery in
the valley of Xiahe.

Trekking around Amnye Machen
Mountain.
Day 10
Trekking, Maqen.

- Tongren
Day 12
Tongren - Xiahe
Day 13 Xiahe
Day 14 Xiahe
- Lanzhou
Trip ends at Lanzhou, your tour
