Daocheng
and Litang has long been
restricted for foreigners from
getting anywhere near these region
until the end of 1998. We will
bike from Zhongdian, the gateway
to Kham and Tibet to Tibetan town
of Litang at 4160m high. This
small town is great for people
watching and just strolling
around. Our trip includes stopping
at several monasteries enroute
cycling through dense forest and
camp on the wildflower strewn
alpine pastures. On this
adventurous trip you will take in
relatively remote areas of Tibetan
culture - small towns reminiscent
of the wild west, rolling
landscapes characterized by wheat
and barley fields and Tibetan
countryside homes.
